The John Laing Charitable Trust (JLCT) has seven Trustees: Sir Martin Laing, Denis Madden, Christopher Laing, Richard Sumner, David Whipp, Lynn Krige and Peter Jones.

The right to appoint Trustees lies with John Laing plc. All Trustees have some connection with the Company, and two are current employees.

The Trustees meet formally several times throughout the year. In between meetings, established procedures are followed for decision making and approval of payments. As a registered charity, JLCT abides by the rules of the Charity Commission and Charity Law.

There are a number of other Laing Trusts, and these are administered independently.
