The Energy group is gathering data on the consumption of electricity, gas, diesel and other fuels, together with water, across the Group businesses; calculating carbon emissions for reporting and developing policies to reduce our consumption going forward.
We have collected information on business travel in our Business Mileage Case Study. This has been collected over thepast two years and our figures indicate that we have made noticeable improvements.
Participating in the Carbon Disclosure project since 2006 has enabled us to benchmark our data, and identify areas of improvement. Our responses to the survey can be viewed at The Carbon Disclosure website
