John Laing has been supporting Young Enterprise for more than fifteen years as both a National Supporter and more recently in London.
For the past 3 years the John Laing Charitable Trust has been funding the "Team Programme" in London and have been donating £30,000 per year. This enables Young Enterprise to increase the number of children with special needs gaining access to the range of enterprise programmes they run across all of London.
Our picture shows prize winners at the Young Enterprise London finals of the John Laing team programme. A number of Young Enterprise Team Companies competed in the London wide competition to find a winner. Prizes were awarded under categories including the best company and the best presentation on the day.
John Laing staff are encouraged to volunteer to help Young Enterprise and in the pastthey have helped once a week for an hour to runprogrammes in local schools as Business Advisor for Team Programme, more recently 9 volunteers took part in 'Your School, Your Business Day' on 21 October 2009 and on 2 February 2010 a team of 6spent the dayat a school in Clapham assisting Young Enterprise with the 'Learn to Earn Scheme'.
