North Nottingham LIFT

North Nottingham LIFT is a Public Private Partnership, established as part of a government initiative to supplement investment in primary health care and social care premises, many of which need modernisation to bring them up to today's standards.

John Laing delivered the North Nottingham LIFT project through Primary Plus, its joint venture with the Bank of Scotland as well as Partnerships for Health and the Public Sector, consisting of the Nottinghamshire County teaching Primary Care Trust and Bassetlaw Primary Care Trust. John Laing sold Primary Plus (Holdings) Ltd to a consortium of Equitix and Community Solutions in October 2011.

The £37.7 million project, which is now fully operational, creates new centres on sites where patients can receive GP and other primary and community healthcare services, such as podiatry, all in one place. Five of the centres provide primary health care facilities and these are: the Balderton Health Centre, Bull Farm Primary Care Resource Centre, The Rainworth Health Centre, Warsop One Stop Shop and Harworth. Two centres at Ashfield and Retford, provide primary health care facilities located within hospitals. The first scheme at Rainworth is now operational. Financial Close was achieved in December 2005.

Laing O'Rourke carried out the construction supported by the architects, CPMG. John Laing Integrated Services provides hard facilities management over the 25 year duration of the projects.
