John Laing, in a consortium with HCC, a construction and infrastructure development company and Sadbhav Engineering Ltd reached financial close on 24 March 2010to construct the 96.5 km four-lane highway from Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh Border to Dhule, a project issued by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
HCC, John Laing and Sadbhav consortium have stakes in the consortium in the ratio of 37:36:27, respectively. The cost of the project is 1415 Cr (£200m) and is expected to take 30 months to deliver and has an overall concession of 18 years.
TheNH3 Road is part of the National Highway Development Programme (NHDP) Phase III-A which consists of widening and strengthening of 4,000 km of National Highways on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis.
